Launched in 2019 through a collaboration between the Department of Veterans Affairs and the Association of Military Banks of America, the Veterans Benefits Banking Program (VBBP) is designed to offer veterans and other VA benefit recipients a secure, cost-effective means to receive and manage their VA monetary benefits. The program aims to streamline banking decisions for veterans by providing a curated list of participating financial institutions that not only meet stringent account requirements and customer service standards but also understand and cater to veterans' unique financial needs. By encouraging veterans to open accounts at these institutions, the VBBP facilitates the safe and efficient management of their monthly monetary benefits through direct deposit. Learn more.
